He is credited for establishing eight such cost-effective centres including at Sarvodaya Hospital, Batra Hospital, Action Balaji Hospital, etc.
He developed the highly established Bone Marrow Transplantation and Haematology facilities at Medanta – the Medicity at Gurgaon; within a span of 36 months, there were more than 100 successful transplant procedures done here
He along with his efficient team has successfully performed more than 1000+ transplant procedures
He is one of the very few medical professionals to come forward and start the ‘Say No To Whole Blood’ campaign. This campaign was initiated to educate people about best utilization of whole blood by breaking it down and using various components
Furthermore, he has been working dedicatedly towards developing the facilities related to Haematology in less developed nations such as Uganda, Uzbekistan, Rwanda, Iraq and several other nations.

Dr Rahul Bhargava started his journey of Stem Cell Transplant from Medanta in the year 2010. He has completed over 800 transplants till date.
Dr Bhargava has been credited of establishing 10 low-cost centres across India namely at Sarvodaya hospital, Batra hospital, Action Balaji hospital etc. With a vision of anaemia free and thalassemia free India, Dr Rahul Bhargava actively collaborates with various government initiatives in order to provide low cost BMT treatment to the masses.
His longstanding vision of the first integrated centre of excellence in Haematology, paediatric haematology and stem cell transplant has been fulfilled at Fortis Memorial research Institute. In 2016 Dr Rahul Bhargava became the first Indian doctor to do and popularize stem cell transplant in multiple sclerosis.
Owing to his vast experience in this field, Dr Bhargava is considered as one of the best stem cell transplant experts in Delhi and Gurgaon Owing to his keen interest in community haematology, Dr. Bhargava screened over 500 children in schools across Haryana and surrounding areas in 2018. Dr Rahul Bhargava has also completed over 1000 CME till date.
Due to his active involvement with the community in building awareness around various blood disorders, he is considered as one of the best haematologists in Delhi and Gurgaon.
A founding member of Delhi Haematology Group, he also actively works for the cause of Anaemia Free India. Not only this, he is also invited as a Visiting Faculty to some very national and international universities. He is frequently invited worldwide to speak about Blood Cancer and associated treatment techniques.
With vast experience in the field of Haematology, he has even been nominated in the expert committee for the European and international Bone Marrow Transplant organizations.
